Using stump cutters is still a somewhat unfamiliar concept in Finland, although the machines have been present in the country over 10 years. The method is getting more and more popular each day. Stumps not only make the mainentance and caretaking of your gardens and lawns difficult, but they also make a dangerous element for human beings as well for vehicles in the yard.
One of the big advantages of stump milling is that due to its small size it is possible to work even in small and tricky places. Thanks to the mobile model it is possible to move and work on slopes and on bumpy terrains. The machines are best fitted for gardens, lawns, parks and grave yards (not for logging).
Our prices are mainly based on the amount of stumps and the location of the work itself. The price of each work is assessed separately.
The cutting procedure happens with hard metal blades (18) that are attached on a wheel.
The stump is then sliced by moving the wheel sideways. The start height can be about 70 cm and the milling can procede to a depth of 30 cm beneath the ground. At the same time the roots of the tree can be separately broken which in turn facilitates the cutting of the lawn.
Normally the milling process causes a lot of sawdust, which later can be used in the gardening work. However, if needed we can transport the remaining sawdust away and replace it with a new lawn.
The machine doesn’t leave any marks in the lawn because it moves with its own wheels and not with rolls like e.g. diggers do.
The weight of the machine is about 500 kg.
